Why I do what I do

When I was young my mother said I should become a nanny or a teacher, but all I wanted was to grow up, get married and have a lot of kids. In the first year of secondary school I wanted to become a doctor, but when hearing that I had to examine people that were possibly naked I was frightened and let that idea go.

The subjects I chose in secondary school were mainly economics, law, bookkeeping and informatics. I was quite good at what I did but not completely satisfied. When the time was there to go to college I decided that I wanted to do what my father did and I went to an engineering school, but I became ill and so I failed. I stopped studying and applied for a job.

After working in an accounting department for two years and watching a lot of National Geographic Channel I felt there was something missing in my life. I had so many questions and there were so many thing I wanted to know that I decided to make a change. The desire to understand everything that happens around me made me want to go study again hoping that my questions would be answered. That was two years ago.

Now, two years later, I am halfway becoming an engineer. In every class I learn a little more about the universe and its perfection. Every day my questions are being answered.  And someday I hope to solve some of the remaining mysteries myself…
